Turtles, Toys, and Other Places to Find KaraokeFanboy Online

I've been putting out a lot of content lately, per my new year's resolution to myself, and I want to make sure you're finding it online!

First of all, I've started a new vlog (that's video + blog = vlog, people!) called Comics I've Made, Comics I've Read, all about (wait for it) the comics I've made, and the comics I've read.  I'm two episodes deep, with a new episode sure to come before St. Patrick's Day.  Check out the latest:






Secondly, I'm really milking my interview with Kevin Eastman from the Amazing Arizona Comic Con (wouldn't you?) -- so you can read excerpts and inspirations over on Nerdvana, posted every Saturday in March to celebrate this month's Mini-Comics Day.

Finally, I have a new series that started today called I Forgot I Lost You, about toys and collectibles I've redisovered around Arizona.  You can find that on Pholx, which, in my opinion, transcends blog to straight-up online zine.

Everything is intentionally short and sweet, in the hopes that you'll check it out and enjoy.  I mean, a two minute video here, a few paragraphs there . . . and if you're reading this, you probably like what I like, so you'll dig it!  I swear!

Happy Birthday, Speed Cameron!

On Facebook, today marks Speed Cameron's birthday, because, back in 1988, November 1st was the day my family first moved to Arizona.  I remember this because trick-or-treating was skimpy that year, lest we heave a Hefty bag of candy onto the plane.  If only we knew then that in a post-9/11 world such a feat would be impossible -- anyway, to celebrate, here's an exclusive comic strip.  This two-page spread originally appeared in the local zine Pholx back in 2011 and is now colored, thanks to my "bro-ducer" Kyle Kaz.  Enjoy!

Sketchbook Sunday: Hugh Midity

Hugh Midity first appeared in a strip I drew for a local gallery, starring Dust Devil, and that strip has since been republished in the local zine Pholx and my Phoenix Free Comic Book Day offering last year.  Here are the initial sketches of Hugh, who was once an innocent lifeguard at a local water park until something radioactive happened or whatever . . .

Countdown Day 29: Sketchbook -- OsamHa-Boob Laden

Originally published in Pholx, June Monsoon and Dust Devil faced Osama Bin Laden, reincarnated as one of the haboobs that hit the Valley last year -- hence, OsamHa-Boob Laden.  Here's the planning page for that strip, which also features Neptune's spear -- always critical when defeating Bin Laden, in any form.

I hope to continue blogging an inside-look at my inspirations for the comic there throughout the year, since this is the Grand Canyon State's centennial and whatnot.
