Found this one in my sketchbook, just in time for Halloween!  A couple of years ago, I moonlighted as a fortuneteller at a friend's Halloween party, and I was so impressed with the costume I assembled from various Goodwills around Orange County, I just had to draw it.

When lightning struck habitually reckless driver Cameron Smith right as a Phoenix traffic camera flashed him doing 90, he and the camera became one -- now enforcing the speed limit everywhere as Speed Cameron!



He-Man was the first action figure I ever had, and was the first sci-fi mythology that fascinated me as a kid. The first cut is always the deepest . . . especially when it's from the Power Sword of Grayskull!

The Kaz Bros.

The line work for this "cover" appears in my sketchbook Sketchy at Best, but my brother recently asked me to color it in, so I used the meager tools at my disposal to produce this. I dig it. Addicted to Comics

In honor of comics' recent cameo in the news as a cover for a meth ring, here's a sketch from my sketchbook Sketchy at Best. A few years ago, a coworker asked me to illustrate his sociology project on recreational drug use, and this was one of the pieces. If only I'd known to include a vintage copy of Action Comics under the bed . . .!

K.O. Comix and KaraokeFanboy Press will exhibit at the Alternative Press Expo this October in San Francisco! Stoked to get this stuff out there -- and to see Brent's most recent project, Dog Town! Now he just has to finish it . . . though I'm not one to judge. We've exhibited at Comic Con and APE for years, and this will be my first time selling my own comic. To quote Cheech from Ghostbusters 2, "Better late than never!"

I thought I'd kick off this new blog dedicated to my solo self-publishing efforts with a sketch of me . . . well, sketching, from the cover of my sketchbook, Sketchy at Best. Ironically, my sketchiest work has been done above the drawing board.
