The Beast Within

When I asked Tiny Titans artist Art Baltazar to contribute to my karaoke-themed sketchbook at Comic Con, I had no idea he would not only ink and color in the piece, but also share a story about Beast Boy's song choice! Art explained that he used to work in a warehouse, and whenever an attractive woman visited, his coworkers would report just how hot she was by singing this song. The further into the song, the better looking the lady! No wonder Art drew Beast Boy, then -- those guys were animals! You gotta appreciate that!

Beat on the Brat!

One week later, the blogosphere is still abuzz about the San Diego Comic Con (and my blog is no exception), so I've decided to post another of my karaoke-themed sketches. This Spider Jerusalem piece was actually the first I acquired, from Darick Robertson, who understandably opted out of drawing a microphone in favor of some Ramones lyrics. Righteous!

Karaoke Love

Having a blast at the San Diego Comic Con, specifically in asking artists for karaoke-themed sketches. Here's a favorite from The Simpsons/Futurama animator Ira Sherak, of the Hot Mexican Love Comics brain trust.
